With many years worth of experience and understanding of WordPress, you’re in safe hands.

Your website will be designed and built using Elementor. Elementor is a page builder layered on top of WordPress. Not only does it allow for total flexibility in terms of design, but it also allows you to easily maintain the content of your website in an easy to use WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface. If you’re able to edit a Word or Pages document on your computer, you will be able to easily keep your website up to date as your business changes and evolves. The cost of the Elementor license is included in your monthly hosting fee. For even more control over your website, especially if you intend to have an e-commerce solution built into it, then I use the OceanWP framework which costs just £30 a year extra.

I do not use pre-built WordPress templates to design your website. However, if you do have a template that you wish to use, I am more than happy to discuss whether it will be suitable to use. However, in my experience, my clients prefer to have their website designed from scratch rather than using a prebuilt template.

Design and Build Costs

A website is unique to your business. Every client has differing needs and requirements. That’s why I will discuss your needs with you to determine how much it will cost for your website. A good starting point is my Website Creative Brief which will ask you a number of questions about what you’re looking for in a new website. Once I have had a chance to review your requirements, I will be able to discuss your needs and generate a quote for you to consider. However, as a guide you can fill in the form below to get an estimate for the cost of building your website.

This cost includes a home page, a contact page (or contact section within the home page) and a GDPR compliant Privacy Policy. The cost also includes setting up the hosting environment on my servers ready for your website.

I work with two e-commerce systems, namely WooCommerce and Ecwid. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Whilst the WooCommerce base product is free and is written to natively work with WordPress, it does have drawbacks if you ever need to restore your website for any reason, as the data (including orders) is stored in the WordPress database. Ecwid, however, is a service hosted outside of WordPress, so does not have the same problems should you need to restore your WordPress website. I will be happy to discuss the pros and cons of each system in our discovery call if you decide to use my services to design and build your website.

An online booking system is used when you want customers to be able to schedule an appointment with yourself. There are many online booking system platforms available, but when choosing one, it's important that it can be integrated into your website (sometimes called "embedding"). For many years, I have worked closely with clients who need a booking system on their website, and I always recommend using Acuity Scheduling. It usually takes me around 4 hours to set up Acuity on your behalf, with only a few steps for you to complete yourself (such as linking with an online payment system such as Stripe to be able to take client payment at the time of booking). Of course, you're welcome to use any system you want, but when choosing, make sure that it can be integrated/embedded into your website, and importantly, WordPress. If you choose another system, I will initially allow for up to 2 hours' worth of work to get this integrated with your new website.

Online Booking System

Online booking systems allow your customers to book an appointment with you. Over the many years that I have been designing websites, one system stands out from the rest, Acuity Scheduling. Their system is flexible, and I have helped many clients integrate this into their websites. eCommerce

If you are considering having eCommerce on your website, then I'd recommend considering using the Ecwid platform. Whilst there are WordPress based eCommerce solutions (the most popular being WooCommerce), these do have limitations. The biggest limitation is the potential for lost orders if your website needs to be restored to a previous date in the event of corruption. With Ecwid, all your orders are processed on their platform meaning in the event of your website needing to be restored from a previous backup, no data will be lost. If you decide to use any of the Ecwid paid plans, please consider using my referral link. Whilst it doesn't affect the price you pay it does allow me to earn a referral fee from them.
